Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary. He said, “There was a judge in a certain town who neither feared God nor respected any human being. And a widow in that town used to come to him and say,
‘Render a just decision for me against my adversary.’
For a long time the judge was unwilling, but eventually he thought, ‘While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being, because this widow keeps bothering me I shall deliver a just decision for her lest she finally come and strike me.’”
The Lord said, “Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says. Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them? I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
Talk to God… Make prayer part of daily ritual. I watched this interview with Jordan and Tammy Peterson. https://youtu.be/e4uWemSfpwk?si=73c9_HbqmP-9vKPz Some extracts from it . Jordan’s wife Tammy says: “Prayer is a practice. Faith is a practice, the rosary is a practice. When you go through hard time in your life, nothing will survive except the things you practice. When life ends and everything is obliterated, the only things you will find in the ashes are the things you have practiced and so decide what that is going to be”. Jordan adds:
ReplyDelete“She wasn’t praying to live or for God to provide her with some special dispensation. She was praying that she conduct herself as appropriately as could be managed given the situation at hand. That is what it means to put yourself in the hands of God. You don’t know the outcome but you pray that you are handling yourself in the best possible manner. "
