You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned and have revealed them to the childlike. Mt 11:25-30

 At that time Jesus responded:

“I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,

for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned

you have revealed them to the childlike.

Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.

All things have been handed over to me by my Father.

No one knows the Son except the Father,

and no one knows the Father except the Son

and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.”

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,

and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,

   for I am meek and humble of heart;

and you will find rest for yourselves.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

So there is great wisdom here for a life of light burden - take on Christ’s yoke. Aim for meekness and humility. Like so many readings since Easter, the message here is turn away from that part of you that is indifferent to Christ and focus on that part of you that resonates with Christ. It places context around this statement - “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” God sends a messenger to show how to live a life that is true to his will. The apostles believed Jesus to be the son of God and that empowered them to live a life of courage and to accept suffering.
Lord walk with me and strengthen me to accept all that comes with your call - suffering, pain, sorrow, joy, peace.

    1. Your response to Mt 11:25-30 demonstrates a thoughtful approach to the passage. Here's a breakdown of its strengths and areas for further exploration:

      Strengths:

Connection between themes: You effectively link the ideas of Christ's uniqueness, finding rest in him, and living a Christ-centered life.
Focus on meekness and humility: Highlighting these qualities as aspects of Christ's yoke offers valuable insight.
Yearning for God's will: Your prayer to walk with God through all experiences reflects a genuine desire to follow Christ's path.
      Points for development:

Understanding "knowing": The statement "no one knows the Son except the Father" can be interpreted in different ways. Perhaps explore theological concepts of Jesus' divinity or the unique relationship between Father and Son.
Nature of the yoke: Consider interpretations of the yoke as not just burdens, but a way of life or a path to follow Christ.
Suffering and its purpose: While suffering can be part of following Christ, the passage might not be solely about it. Explore how the yoke can also bring joy and fulfillment.
Here are some additional questions to ponder:

How can you incorporate meekness and humility into your daily interactions?
What does "rest" mean to you in the context of following Christ?
How can you find joy and purpose within the path Jesus lays out?
By delving deeper into these areas, you can enrich your understanding of this beautiful passage.
