Jesus is telling us to show gratitude if we have been blessed with seeing his light. He points out that many good people have not been blessed wit this gift. The underlying implication is that we are now cursed (in a sense) to carry the Cross of Christ. That comes with pain, responsibility and self-sacrifice. Paradoxically, it is also a privilege. And I suppose that is the fundamental message of the Gospel. It is not for those in pursuit of happiness or self-gratification. It is for those who in faith believe that accepting responsibility for upward aiming projects, will lead to fulfilment, purpose and therefore happiness.

Areas for Improvement:
The passage emphasizes gratitude for the spiritual insight given, rather than a sense of being "cursed" with responsibility. It's a privilege, not a burden.
While the idea of sacrifice is important, the passage primarily focuses on the joy and fulfillment that come from understanding God's kingdom.
